Boosted Board Battery

Charging the Board

For general safety, we do not recommend leaving your board unattended while it is charging. However, leaving the charger plugged in longer than needed to reach full charge will not harm the battery–the board automatically senses when the battery is full and stops charging.

Battery Charging Time

The standard range battery charges in just 1 hour and 15 minutes, while the extended range battery charges in 1 hour and 45 minutes. In a hurry? Every 15 minutes of charge time equates to about a mile of range on both standard and extended range models.

The 1st generation battery charges in about one hour. You can get 85% charge in only 30 minutes.

Battery Pack Chargers

The standard range battery and the extended range battery use the same charger. You can use the 1st generation charger with all standard range batteries. However, due to changes in the battery voltage, 1st generation chargers will not charge extended range battery packs.

Using Battery Pack Chargers Internationally

The 2nd generation battery pack charger has an operating range of 110-240VAC, 50/60Hz and is certified for use in the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and most of Europe.

Charging the Battery Pack off the Board

For 2nd generation boards, Boosted Mini, Boosted Plus, and Boosted Stealth, you can charge the battery pack while it’s on or off the board. The battery pack cannot be charged off the board for 1st generation boards.
